Team OtAstro - what do you think of May 19 (an awesome new moon weekend)
for a Mojave getaway??

The group site is available on April 13, 14 (a nice third quarter moon) , and 27 (that
date is out because its out sidewalk astro weekend).
If any of you belong to the Mojave National Preserve Conservancy, David included us in the
annual roundup letter to members. We were mentioned in the first paragraph! It was very
nice. I have the letter someplace.....
PS David we are the "Old Town Sidewalk Astronomers" from the San Gabriel
Mountain Foothills ;-)

New subject: 2012 - April Skies over Mojave National Preserve?
May 19th should have better weather than the April dates?
Also Elizabeth will be on an East coast University tour that week in April
so we'd prefer the May date for family reasons :)

All - here's the sentence in David's Conservancy letter I mentioned.
"2011 has been both a successful year, and one of learning and growth for
the Conservancy. We have continued our tradition of spring and fall
night-sky gazing events. With the support of the Preserve staff and the
leadership of the Pasadena Olde Towne Astronomers, over 130 individuals
were introduced to the Preserve's pristine night skies and to the
community of those who treasure it."
